When that red you enjoyed has left its mark in the wrong place, white wine can be your best friend; it will neutralize the color in the red wine and will make it easier to lift off. Pour white wine over the area and gently blot it, making sure that you don’t rub it, as rubbing will only stain deeper. This product can actually be called a wonder wine stain remover and should be found in the home and the cleaning cabinet of every wine lover.

The bottom line is however simple, the longer the wine stays, and the more difficult it will be to remove the stain. So don’t let it sit long and use salt and then any other option that you would want to go with.
